4 c. sliced peeled fresh or frozen peaches, thawed
1 c. sugar, divided
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
3/4 c. milk
Toss peaches with 1/2 c. sugar and almond extract. Set aside. Pour butter into a 2 quart baking dish. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and remaining sugar, stir in milk. Mix well. Pour evenly over butter, (do not stir). Top with peach mixture. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes. Dish into individual serving dishes. Spoon a dollop of peach yogurt on top of each serving.
